1 lb fresh green beans
1 teaspoon dried chili pepper flakes
1/4 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons oil
salt and pepper, to taste
Prep: 15 min Cook: 10 min
1 Wash green beans and dry thoroughly. Snap off stems.
2 Heat oil in large skillet or wok over medium high heat until almost at the smoking point.
3 Add the dry beans to the hot oil and stir-fry until the beans start to get some dark brown spots.
4 Add the walnuts and continue to stir-fry to cook all sides of the beans and toast the nuts.
5 Sprinkle on the chili flakes and toss to distribute evenly.
6 Remove from heat, salt and pepper to taste.
